Weyerhaeuser Mini Grant Program- Designed with our community partner Weyerhaeuser, this program is available to assist teachers in the classroom and prevent money having to be spent out of pocket for classroom materials. This program is for hands on activities in math and/or science. Available each 9 weeks with funding up to $100. The 1st 9 Weeks of the 2008-09 school year her students tackled an activity called "Egg Diffusion"and the 2nd 9 weeks they worked on "Berry Exciting DNA!" Here are her students in action: 


PIE Grants- This program is available for teachers twice a year to increase classroom innovation and creativity. This program is designed to help boost the learning opportunities for students in all grades and subjects. Teachers may request up to $1500 in funding. During the 2007-2008 school year, Partners In Education awarded 17 grants for a total of $23,362.62. Activities awarded include building robotic devices with Lego’s, playing musical instruments, increasing math skillls for students with disabilities, and enhancing physical education in an elementary school. Partners budgeted $25,400 for the 2008-2009 school year for this program with hopes that through its generous supporters that this program will continue to grow each year.
