Craven County Partners In Education, is a local non-profit organization that is committed to enhancing the educational experience for teachers and students in the Craven County School System.  Partners was formed in 1988 and has been dedicated since its start to focus on the ever changing needs of the schools.  The board of directors is comprised of school-business-community leaders and parents who are passionate about working together to support education.

The mission of Partners In Education is to enhance the quality of education for all by encouraging community support for programs of excellence.  As a true partnership, Partners works independently of, but is aligned with, the Craven County School System and its goals

As a non-profit, it is extremely important for Partners In Education (P.I.E.) to build and maintain strong relationships with educators, small and large businesses, individuals and community leaders.  Without our “Partners” the programs we offer would not be a possibility. 

While Partners In Education realizes there are many needs within the school it focuses on 3 main areas:

1.) Optimum Student Achievement,

2.) Classroom innovation, and

3.) Teacher recruitment and retention.
